Polymath:

Pronunciation: \ˈpä-lē-ˌmath\
Function: noun
Etymology: Greek polymathēs very learned, from poly- + manthanein
Date: 1621

: a person of encyclopedic learning

Not to say that a Polymath knows more about anything than anyone else.  A Polymath just knows “something about everything.”  Quite annoying at parties, usually a winner on Jeopardy.

Didn’t have many books growing up.  My father did invest in Encyclopedias.  The “Book of Knowledge” set in 20 volumes along with a few others.  This was all I read and reread in elementary school.

All this too say, I can’t really speak to one subject for very long.  Use the Categories list to get to where you want to go.
